Gastric surgery

Heartburn, diaphragmatic hernias and tumours are three of the most common reasons for gastric surgery. I generally use minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery for all procedures, which often significantly reduces recovery time.

Gastric surgery may be advised in cases of long-term and recurrent heartburn. Unlike taking tablets, surgery addresses the cause of the problem rather than the symptoms. My extensive experience in this field means that my patients’ chances of long-term symptom relief are well above average.

During gastric surgery, which can often be performed using minimally invasive techniques, (benign and malignant) tumours and neoplasms can be removed according to oncological standards.
